In accordance with the requirements of the implemented QMS standards (ISO 9001, ISO 22000, BRCGS Packaging and Packaging materials), the company organises continuous quality and safety control of products throughout the entire technological process from the receipt of raw materials to the shipment of finished products.

Continuous quality control

Maintaining high quality and safety of manufactured products is part of the overall development strategy and the basis for the operation and improvement of the quality and safety management system of products that meets the provisions of international standards ISO 9001, ISO 22000, BRCGS Packaging Materials.

Our own laboratory for quality control of finished products and incoming materials is equipped with specialized instruments and test benches, as well as with highly qualified specialists.

At ZTI METALPAK enterprise, continuous quality and safety control is organized throughout the entire technological process from the receipt of raw materials to the shipment of finished products, which includes several stages.

Incoming control

For compliance with the established regulatory documentation of tin, varnishes, sealing materials, purchased components:

  • Measuring geometric parameters of sheet metal;
  • Measuring hardness of sheet metal;
  • Measuring the ductility of metal sheets according the Erichsen’s cupping test;
  • Measuring varnish viscosity;
  • Measuring geometric characteristics of components;
  • Verification of quality certificates for incoming materials.

Operational control

Such type of control involves testing the product at all stages of the technological process. This allows to quickly identify and eliminate the deviations from the regulatory and technical standards of production:

  • Checking the lacquered sheet for adhesion, hardness, strength of the coating;
  • Checking the seal for compliance to customer requirements;
  • Checking the appearance of products, control of geometric dimensions, distribution and weight of the seal;
  • Checking the tightness of finished products;
  • Checking the sealing and welded seams, the quality of applying protective coatings to the seam;
  • Checking the appearance for compliance with the standard or the layout assigned by the customer;
  • Resistance of coating to sterilization in simulated environments.

Acceptance control

Acceptance control includes testing and measuring finished products and analyzing data from incoming and operational control. Several samples of finished products are taken from each batch for the following types of tests and checks:

  • Appearance of the surface and weld;
  • Control of rolling, seaming using a special scanner of the German company "CMС-Kuhnke";
  • Tightness on a specially equipped stand;
  • Pairing of packagingand components to it;
  • Sterilization of packaging with model media in accordance with TR CU 005/2011;
  • Torque effect shall satisfy the set requirements (for “Twist-off” closures);
  • Thermal resistance (for “Twist-off” closures).

Periodic control

With acertain frequency, metal packagings are subjected to verification tests for compliance with the requirements:

“Twist-off” closures are subject to verification tests for compliance with the requirements of TU 25.92.13-002-42239620-2018:

  • Organoleptic indicators;
  • Sanitary and hygienic safety indicators for capping

Control samples of finished products are taken from each batch, which are stored during the guaranteed shelf life.

The quality and safety of products is confirmed by a declaration of conformity and a certificate of quality and safety.

Incoming control

  • Appearance of the surface and weld;

  • Tightness on a specially equipped stand;
  • Pairing of packaging and components to it;
  • Packaging drop test.

Periodic control

With a certain frequency, metal containers are subjected to verification tests for compliance with the requirements:

  • Stacking strength;
  • Handle fastening strength;
  • Durability of the internal coating;
  • Hydraulic internal-pressure test;
  • Free fall impact resistance.

Control samples of finished products are taken from each batch, which are stored during the guaranteed shelf life.

The quality and safety of products is confirmed by a declaration of conformity and a certificate of quality and safety.
